What exactly is functional medicine?

Functional medicine is defined as an approach to addressing one’s health from the root cause, versus the effect. For example, if one presents with chronic fatigue, a functional practitioner would look at what is causing the chronic headaches versus prescribing medication blindly, without consideration for what is the cause.

We do not accept insurance. We can however, support you around submitting your visits to your insurance company for eligible reimbursement.

Yes our office is physician owned and supervised by Dr. Nidia Carrero.

How do I know functional medicine is for me?

Functional medicine can be for everyone. It really depends on your ability and willingness to proactively take on a different approach through our modalities that work with your bodies natural biology. It is is not a quick fix or silver bullet with false promises attached.
